Corporate Risk Broker

Job Title: Corporate Risk Broker

Contract: Permanent Salary – DOE

Location: Glasgow Industry – Insurance Broker (Insurance, Broker, Commercial, Corporate)

Our Brokerage

We are a leading Commercial and Corporate insurance Brokerage in the Glasgow area. Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our Corporate Risk Team with the addition of an experienced Commercial Account Handler.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the daily commercial insurance requirements for a portfolio of corporate clients who operate within a wide range of sectors and industries.

You’ll handle MTA’s, Renewals and New Business performing open market broking exercises as well as various administrative and client enquiries.

Client reports, cover summaries, checking policies and responding to daily insurance queries and questions from clients will be the main features of your day

You will work in an experienced team of Commercial Account Handlers focused on day to day client contact and client management.

A strong ability to build relationships and work with others is a key requirement of the role.

Required Skills We are looking for someone with;

  •  3-5 years’ experience handling Commercial Corporate clients
  • A good technical commercial insurance knowledge
  • A team player who can work in a fast-paced environment
  • CII qualifications are preferable but not essential
  • Previous experience of using Acturis preferable but not essential

Claims Handler

Kelvin Smith Insurance Brokers are looking for an experienced Claims Handler, an opportunity to join a growing team that provides an all-round first-class customer service experience. Following ongoing growth and development within the team we are looking for someone who has a great work ethic, who is enthusiastic and driven to develop their career. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of predominately Commercial claims, taking the initial notification and providing support all the way through the claims process.

Main duties include;

Notify insurers of new claims

Provide exceptional support to customers ensuring a high level of service

Input new claims onto the system

Continuously update claims records on the system

Maintain comprehensive diary system to monitor claims progress

Ensure all actions are clearly recorded in the file notes

Deal with correspondence quickly to avoid any delay in settlement of a claim

Deal with repudiated claims and understanding why they have been repudiated

The successful candidate must have;

Excellent customer care skills

Strong organisation with the ability to prioritise workload

Enjoys being a team player and openly shares knowledge and skills with others

Great communicator, both written and verbal

Previous claims handling experience

Ability to follow clear instructions to carry out given tasks

Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity and commitment

Ownership of own continuing professional development
